"Disciple" Review

To reiterate why this season isn't working upon many things, Oliver Queen is too damn inconsitent. First he gets over his "darkside complex" and then the next minute he's back to dwelling on Lois, who's finally formed a romantic relationship with the man she's destined to be with forever.

As the story goes, writer, Jordon Hawley tries to make you believe Ollie has a case of multiple personality disorder which of course was clearly that wasn't the case.

Clark is finally starting to see Dumb Blonde's true nature when she tells him about her little stunt pulled in "Roulette" and then being the annoying bitch she is, has the nerve to spit on Superman's moral code. If this was a parrell universe of a pre-Crime Syndiate she would've killed by him years ago. But Boyscout makes another great comeback by basically saying "Now I'm cleaning up your mess." The only thing left to cut the ties permently is to discover her murder from last year.

But for some stupid reason he still relys on her for information when he so obiviously can do it on his own because..he's an investigative reporter. This was worse then "Siren" when he finally saw Drama Queen for the skank she was and then fell right back into the powers that be's spell. To be fair though, there was no scene where he apologized to the human plot device.

At first it seemed Lois was suspcicous of Zod's visit at Metropolis General after her attack by Merlyn or Dark Archer, whatever you want to call him. But then she's like "Your friend, Zod showed up, the three of us should go out together." to the mild mannered reporter. What was that? I know she doesn't remember since her memory of the future trip was erased (making another arc entirely pointless.), but that was just ridiculous. Was Hawley trying to make Lois look clueless?

But the ending cleared up skeptism about wiether or not the producers were dumbing down Kal-El again by befriending Zod and his cronies at the end of "Pandora", he still doesn't trust him. The best line comes where he tells his arch enemy to stay away or he will destroy them all.

Rating: 6

Next week, Absolute Justice arrives early as the second glorifying Chloe centric was supposed to air after this, glad it got switched.

Clip from tommorrow night's return episode.

The whole time I'm thinking "Yes! Kill her! Kill her now!" But unfortunately that's never gonna happen.

Silver Banshee on Smallville

TV Guide reports that another villian from the DCU shows up in episode 16, "Escape".

The Banshee is a vengeful spirit of a fallen Gaelic heroine. She's accidentally released from the underworld, and takes out her vengeance at an unassuming country bed and breakfast. Guess who just happens to be staying at the B&B? Lois (Erica Durance) and Clark (Tom Welling).
As for the scream effect, where Black Canary's was changed in the show to subsonic, her's will be the reverse as in hyper. Because Siobhan McDougal's power causes the victim's life essence to drain from their body.

Like the treat was in Absolute Justice with Chloe being strangled by Doctor Icicle, she'll be subjected to the harlet's wrath.

Synopsis for the antisapated TV movie has finally popped up.

DC COMICS' CHARACTERS HAWKMAN, STAR GIRL AND DR. FATE FROM THE JUSTICE
SOCIETY OF AMERICA MEET UP WITH CLARK AND HIS TEAM IN A SPECIAL TWO-HOUR EVENT, PAM GRIER GUEST STARS.

A man named Sylvester Pemberton tracks down Chloe (Allison Mack) and tells her he knows about her team of superheroes and needs their help. However, before he can explain who he is, he is attacked and killed by Icicle (guest star Wesley Macinnes). Clark (Tom Welling) and Chloe's (Allison Mack) investigation leads Clark to the former headquarters of the Justice Society of America where he meets up with Nelson aka Dr. Fate (guest star Brent Stait), Carter Hall aka Hawkman (guest star Michael Shanks) and Courtney aka Star Girl (guest star Britt Irvin). Courtney pleads with Hawkman and Dr. Fate to help her catch the killer that is targeting their group but they are reluctant to resume their duties as superheroes. Clark, John Jones (guest star Phil Morris), Green Arrow (Justin Hartley) and Chloe team up to help the JSA stop Icicle before he murders another member of the group.

Meanwhile, Lois (Erica Durance) receives a package from a mysterious agency called Checkmate, run by Amanda Waller (guest star Pam Grier). Geoff Johns wrote the two-hour episode. Glen Winters directed the first hour and Tom Welling directed the second hour.

When Rob and I went to go see Daybreakers last night, I realized The CW used footage from the apocalyptic movie, Legion to advertise Absolute Justice which is the cheapest move since Failsday. It puts some of that skeptism about Hawkman's wing effects back to the forefront as is the case with Carter Hall's eye lenses at the end of the emo preview here:

I wouldn't be suprised in the slightest when Dumb Blonde joins Amanda Waller's Checkmate to manipulate the heroes, like she already accomplished with Green Arrow in the first half of this season. With confirmed notice at EW, Ma Kent will get caught in this tangled web aswell.

Knock on wood that she doesn't get killed because of Chloe's screwed up decision making.

The first preview for the next video game adaptation disaster has been released.

It's the revenge plot of Legend of Chun Li with the over the top visuals of Dragonball Evolution all wrapped into one big pile of shit. Yoshimitsu looks like he jumped out of the Power Rangers' universe.

It's sad to see Cary Tagawa's career has gone the way of Robin Shou.

Kevin Smith's Green Hornet

With the upcoming Seth Rogen's spoof coming this year, Dynamite Entertainment teams with the New Jersey native's original script to the comic book page.

The Green Hornet is back and Dynamite is the new home for the avenging hero and his faithful sidekick, Kato (and, the Black Beauty, 'natch!)! And we're kicking things off with a BANG as we launch the first of a new series of adventures starting with the great Kevin Smith. And let's get it out of the way, right here, right NOW - the scripts are in! Every single one!

Joining Smith in bringing his unproduced screenplay to life
is artist Jonathan (Black Terror) Lau as they present the one and only
origin of the Green Hornet and Kato. This is the comic book version of Kevin smith's unproduced Green Hornet film and Dynamite is the only place to get in on the action - it all begins here!

Aside from Alex Ross doing the cover for the first issue, John Cassaday, Jae Lee and David Finch are doing the additional ones.

The episodes I've seen of the original series starring Bruce Lee, they were serious crime oriented stories (with an occasional gimmick villian) that weren't be played up for shits and giggles like that other show at the time.

Wonder Woman on Smallville

Unfornately it's not Diana Prince making her debut on the show. It's Lois Lane in disguise at the Metropolis' Comic Con from that upcoming horrible centric that I posted about to which stills came out for.

But you can read Rob's synopsis for a Princess of the Amazons centric at the very bottom of his Apoklips post here.

As cool of an anvil as this is, but logically where would Lois get this costume idea from? A rodeo or back at that strip club she first went undercover back in Season 5, "Exposed" and brought up again in the sixth, "Combat".

As far as we know in the timeline, Hippolyta's daughter established her human identity and already starting a relationship with Steve Trevor like Lois & Clark or has been on her mission as protector/emissary to Themyscira the last time Diana's mother addressed the U.N. on The Planet's headline in the third year during Lex's time in Belle Reeve in "Asylum".
